Post-event Newsletter 2009

he top executives from the world’s leading packaging industry all assembled for the Packaging and Converting Executive Forum 2009 held in the luxurious Biltmore Hotel, Miami, Florida.

This established event included a number of keynote presentations, a series of workshops and a busy schedule of pre-arranged meetings.

The forum kicked off with an influential presentation from Richard Seymour from Seymourpowell who proved very popular with the PACE executives. He gave an all encompassing view on the global packaging industry. David Cox outlined the rapidly changing world of sourcing and outsourcing consumer products, focussing on the geographic location.

On the GSS programme Richard Halverson gave an inspiring lecture regarding his own agency (National IPR Coordination Centre) and what they are currently doing to combat counterfeiting. Ken Bonefeld gave a good demonstration of the types of challenges major corporations face dealing with counterfeit products.

Alongside the busy conference programme the delegates enjoyed a number of networking opportunities. The offsite dinner on the Friday night was a great success and guests were able to sample the delights of the local area.

PACE 2010 has generated numerous amounts of enquiries and 26.5% have already re-booked to return again next year.
